Millicent, initially my Girls Brigade captain, then sister-in-law when she married my (much older!) brother... but quickly became a surrogate sister through all the stages our extended families' lives. As her many friends have said she was a force if nature, never tiring, 'til very recently, and all with a heart of gold. I shall miss her . Helen TURNER

Millie was a great friend to my sister Irene. She shared her love of life and particularly her love of flowers. She was so caring and supportive through Irene’s short illness and continued to remember Irene often putting flowers on her grave. She loved to speak proudly of her family and was a special friend to many. Sleep tight Millie.

In loving memory of Millie — a truly remarkable woman who brought warmth and joy to everyone around her.
Millie was my best friend’s mum, but she was also a dear friend to me. She always had a smile on her face and an endless energy for life — whether she was busy with church, arranging flowers, or helping someone in need. She simply couldn’t sit still, and that’s what made her so special.
She had a heart full of kindness and thoughtfulness, never forgetting even the small things — like my boys’ birthdays. Millie had so much love to give, and she shared it freely with everyone she met.
She will be deeply missed, but her light and generosity will always be remembered
